Sex Expo 2019 Recap

For the third year in a row the Sex Expo in Brooklyn, New York was a resounding success. The show was bigger and better this year and the line outside the building for the first day stretched down the block. In its third year, it’s clear that the Sex Expo is here to stay as more fans and talent in the industry come out. This year we were joined by the likes of Stormy Daniels, Karlie Redd of Love & Hip Hop and Mary Jean at the Romantic Depot booth as well as the many ladies of Chaturbate and a few stars who just popped up unannounced.

Every year the turn out gets more impressive and word of mouth spreads to help the show grow even bigger. As I made my way inside I noticed in the past 2 years, the layout was different as the stage where the presentations take place was right in the middle as opposed to being off to the side as in the previous year. It was a smaller stage but overall gave people a chance to see what was happening no matter what side you were standing on.  The usual beer vender Wild Bill’s was on hand selling beverages in their classic mugs that a number of people were walking around with. Nothing like a good drink to go along with a little sexual education.

Chaturbate who is one of the sponsors for the show had a few webcam girls on hand meeting fans as well as doing live webcam for the people at home who couldn’t make it to the event. I met a number of nice models and tipped them for their time as they are doing duel work, both entertaining at the show and also running their chat room entertaining their audience at home. People were also checking out Stormy Daniels making her first appearance at the show, selling new t-shirts and her book as well as taking photos with fans for a fee. With a name as big as Stormy its proof that the expo has grown to new heights and i’m curious what and who next year will bring.

The show wasn’t all about the performing stars though as there were many business that were promoting their product and had many people interested in a purchase. Some of them I would like to highlight are, Secret VII which is a sex theme card game for you and your partner, Romantic Depot, a sexy lingerie store with several locations throughout New York and New Jersey and Caution Wear, a business that allows you to print your own custom image onto a condom. I would also like to mention Clips4Sale who was giving out free swag and had a number of models around and Pleasure Chest, the sex toy destination in New York City. No matter what your sexual interest, chances are you could find it at the Sex Expo or something you didn’t even know you wanted.

The stage show activities were hosted by April Lampert from the Shameless Sex podcast and included such shows as couples simulating as many sexual positions as possible in 30 seconds, a best ass contest and a Q&A to end the night with Karlie Redd which was easily the most crowded stage event of the afternoon. There were also many informative workshops going on in a room off to the side and I caught a few of the seminars myself. The one’s I did see were completely packed and everyone’s eye’s were glued to the stage to watch Carly S talk about finding your orgasm with your partner and also butt sex basic’s by Pleasure Chest. It’s refreshing to see so many people interested in not just the show floor itself, but also the information they can gather from sitting in on one of the many panels.

I hope the Sex Expo continues to be a yearly event as I see it growing bigger and bigger and it occupy’s a space in New York that has long been missing, a place where adults can go and enjoy the discussion of sex and meet people who work inside the sex industry. It was something that was needed and it’s continued growth shows how receptive people are to coming out and having a good time as they learn about their bodies from experts and use that knowledge in their own personal life to have more enjoyable experiences. Until next time and next year.
