When a podcast released their opinionated top 50 list, social media went up in an uproar falling for the bait. Not to mention there are numerous artists calling themselves the greatest. The Bay Area OG E-40 is not letting the foolish talk slide as he has been in the industry since 1988. There are not a lot of artists who can say they have been consistently releasing music and staying relevant for the past 3 decades. E-40 put his legendary status on notice with the release of his new video, "GOAT," featuring Milla. 40 doesn't pull any punches with verses such as, ("Bitch, I'm the GOAT, I'm not a sheep/I'm countin' fetti when I'm asleep") and with cold hard facts: "Name a rapper with more slang than me, my n**** (I'll wait)/Name a rapper with more game than me, my n**** (I'll wait)/Name a rapper that taught you things like me, my n**** (I'll wait)/I'm the GOAT since 1988 (Biatch)."
E-40 released a response to the "Greatest of All Time" lists, "Some of these lists seem game goofy. I don't think people are including all the right things when making their lists. These lists should be inclusive of style and legendary status but also mogul status, record sales, microphone skills, uniqueness, relevancy, longevity, and consistency."
