Longtime friends and music collaborators Common, Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins are known as the musical trio August Greene as they unveil their new music video, "Optimistic." R&B singer Brandy continues to shine like fine wine as her harmonies blend nicely with this song. The video was filmed in Jackson, Mississippi over Martin Luther King Day weekend, the video features the Jackson-area activists Hollis Watkins, Frankye Adams Johnson, Dr. Cindy Ayers Elliott, Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and the Maddrama Performance Group. Optimistic is from August Green's self titled debut album will be released as an Amazon Original on March 9th.
