Interview With Evelyn Encarnacion

As I was enjoying myself drinking a few cocktails at the 809 sports club in Philadelphia, I came across this exquisite, young model who goes by the name of Evelyn Encarnacion.  The up and coming model and I chopped it up a bit along with Q The Question as we discuss her homeland Dominican Republic, her decision to pursue modeling and more.

Sincere: Tell us a little about yourself and what part of the Dominican Republic you’re from?

Evelyn: I was born in Santo Domingo, but my parents are from Cibao.  I have studied multimedia, speech, and modeling.  The knowledge and experience have given me the opportunity to be in many TV commercials, acting gigs, short films and Dominican movies with television commercials.

Sincere: What are some of the things you miss about your homeland?

Evelyn: I miss the beaches and trips to the river, the climate, the food but above all the environment. The people, the way they are, and how the people surround us. I have noticed here it is a little different and people mostly go out to work. They at times hardly know the neighbor on their side. In my country you will see people and know them from every side from the people at the bank even in the Supermarket. I miss that feeling of community that we give.

Sincere: You’re relatively new to the business. What inspired you to become a model?

Evelyn: Since I've have been integrated in the arts, it has always been a passion of mine. When I was 6 or 7, I used to write stories with my sister, things for kids. With that I was just showing my inclination. I did my first acting gig at the age of 11 and at age 15, I did my first modeling course for "Super Model". More than a simple inspiration, this was all my reasoning to move forward.

Sincere: How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?

Evelyn: Fashionista, authentic and charismatic.

Sincere: There are some women who feel if they receive butt enhancements it would enhance their career. Unfortunately, there were cases where women have died trying to enhance their bodies dealing with fraudulent doctors. What are your thoughts on butt enhancements and would you consider doing it?

Evelyn:  As of now, I have never got nothing operated on me.  Personally, I don't think butt injections is the best option, I don't judge anyone who does it. In my opinion butt shots is not the best option, it can be a lot of secondary effects when you get older, it can cause more damage than desired. It surgery is the final decision, it has dismissed an effective workout at the gym. It healthier to be beautiful and natural.

Sincere: If you hadn’t pursued modeling, what would you do as an alternative?

Evelyn: Anything related to the arts will be my passion, if modeling was not to work.  Becoming an actress is my second alternative.

Sincere: I am pretty sure you receive a lot of attention from men on social media. What qualities do you look for in a man?

Evelyn:  I like men who are intelligent, that have great conversation and a vision in life, those who are sweet, responsible and honest.

Sincere: Outside of modeling, what do you like to do on your spare time?

Evelyn: One of them is to rest well haha, less work. I love beaches, BBQ's with friends, movies, extreme sports and shopping, getting my hair and nails done and reading things of interest.  I love to go to church and I'm a strong believer in God.

Sincere: I just love food in general but one of my favorite latin dishes… arroz con coco, tostones y pollo. Cual es su comida latina favorite?

Evelyn: Arroz, habichuela y carne.

Sincere: Thank you for your time. Can you let your fans know where they can contact you via social media?

Evelyn: @evelyncaridad, para instagram, twitter y snapchat.
