Over the past few weeks there has been speculation that Long Island, NY rapper King Myers may have signed with Kanye West's record label, G.O.O.D. Music.
Here's where it all started:
A few weeks back, Grammy award winning Rock group, Cage The Elephant sent out a tweet asking fans if they'd like to hear their new song with Kanye West & King Myers. That alone is a very random tweet, and even more random collaboration considering the gap in the genre of music. Hip-hop & Rock.
Who wants to hear this track with us & @kanyewest @RealKingMyers yup he can rock n roll too. hits on hits on hits pic.twitter.com/sv4pjiBnIg— Cage The Elephant (@CageTheElephant) December 30, 2016
Next, King Myers released his new single "Puerto Rico", in which the artwork includes the G.O.O.D. Music logo on the bottom left corner. When you go to stream or download the single on iTunes, Spotify, or whatever music service you use, the copyright in the credits is listed as "Getting Out Our Dreams, Inc. / Def Jam Recordings, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc.". https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/puerto-rico-single/id1197836465?app=itunes
If that right couldn't make it any more obvious, King Myers recently posted a screenshot of a direct message from Kanye West's verified Twitter account, stating that he needs King in LA for 6 days. Here's the tweet:
