"Not too long after moving to Boston I had this weird kind of feeling, where I wasn't necessarily pining for home, but pining to feel AT HOME in this new place. So I wrote this song as an exploration of that feeling - speaking to the city directly and asking whether or not it would ever adopt me as one of its own."
